With these training areas, students are equipped with essential foundational knowledge and skills to perform well in their jobs after graduation.
You might be surprised to learn that students majoring in Sino-Vietnamese Studies are proficient in two foreign languages: Chinese and English. This is a huge advantage that opens up many opportunities for them in their studies, research, and employment.

In particular, students majoring in Sino-Vietnamese Studies benefit from the dual degree program offered by Hanoi National University. Accordingly, after completing their first year, students who meet the academic requirements can enroll in a second bachelor's degree program at faculties/institutes of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and other member universities of Hanoi National University (University of Law, University of Foreign Languages, University of Education). This saves students time and tuition costs while increasing their future opportunities. In just five years of study, they can obtain two bachelor's degrees from Hanoi National University – one of the most prestigious universities in Vietnam.

Each year, VNU-USSH offers 6.5 billion VND in scholarships from the state budget, 1.6 billion VND in scholarships from non-state budget sources, and 45 scholarships (worth 50 million VND/student/year) from the VNU Talent Attraction Scholarship Fund for 9 basic science disciplines.
