11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Research objectivesTo build a model and analyze the factors influencing green tourism behavior, thereby proposing directions to promote green tourism behavior and contribute to sustainable tourism development in the locality.

- Research subjects:Factors influencing the participation of domestic tourists in green tourism in Ha Giang.

- Research methods:

+ Qualitative research: Semi-systematic research review, expert interviews, and focus group discussions to identify research gaps and develop preliminary measurement scales.

+ Quantitative research: Using a linear structural model based on partial least squares (PLS-SEM) technique with Smart PLS 4.0 software to test the model and research hypotheses based on a survey sample of 522 domestic tourists.

- Key results:

+ Fourteen hypotheses were tested, of which 10 were accepted with high statistical significance.

+ Identify factors such as attitudes, subjective norms, motivations, and opportunities for green tourism that positively influence intentions and actual behavior.

+ It is pointed out that green tourism behavior in Ha Giang is not only driven by individual psychology but is also closely constrained by external conditions such as infrastructure and support systems.

- Novel contributions of the thesis:

+ In terms of theory: Successfully developed and tested an integrated model combining three theoretical frameworks: TPB, MOA, and COM-B. This integration helps overcome the limitations of traditional TPB by adding elements related to motivation, opportunity, and behavioral competence.

+ Regarding empirical evidence: Clarifying the mechanism of transformation from intention to actual behavior in the specific context of a developing mountainous destination like Ha Giang.

- Scientific and technical problems solved, scientific and practical significance (if it is a new technology development topic, an assessment of quality and standards should be included):

+ Scientific significance: Fills an academic gap regarding practical green tourism behavior in Vietnam, especially in mountainous areas. Affirms the validity of an interdisciplinary approach in sustainable behavior research.

+ Practical significance: Provides empirical data for managers in Ha Giang to better understand domestic tourists. Helps identify barriers (such as waste management infrastructure) to improve the environment for practicing green behaviors.

- Economic and other objectives achieved and their practical applicability:

+ Supporting the goals of "green growth" and "circular economy" in the tourism development strategy of Ha Giang (formerly) now Tuyen Quang for the period 2025–2030.

+ Propose feasible solutions for standardizing provincial-level green tourism criteria, investing in green infrastructure, and developing a communication strategy to guide tourist behavior.

- Conclude:The study provided a comprehensive overview of the factors influencing green tourism behavior in Ha Giang. The results confirm that promoting sustainable behavior requires a synchronized combination of individual awareness and the improvement of the service ecosystem at the destination.

12. Directions for further research:

- Expand the survey to other geographical contexts such as urban areas, plains, or other mountainous tourist destinations to compare and contrast the results.

- Incorporate additional variables related to emotions (guilt, environmental pride) and eco-ethical values to enhance the ability to predict behavior.

- Further research on other tourist groups (e.g., international tourists) or the use of new mixed research methods can enrich the theory of green tourism behavior.
