- In a comprehensive and systematic manner, this thesis is the first to study the issue of political institutions throughout the entire historical process of medieval Vietnam. Through this, it analyzes and explains, with evidence, the relationship and interaction between the historical context, socio-economic foundation, and the model of centralized state organization.

- Studying the dynamics and transformations of state organizational models, identifying achievements and limitations, the causes of prosperity and decline, success and failure, has led to an overall perspective, new scientific discoveries and insights, and from there, drawn historical lessons with practical significance.

- To exchange ideas, discuss, and contribute to clarifying some long-standing scientific issues: the existence of centralized institutions under the Ly Dynasty, the "pro-people" policy during the Ly-Tran Dynasties, the "bureaucratic" trend during the Early Le Dynasty, the nature of Vietnamese law before the 15th century, and the characteristics of the centralized state model in Vietnam...

- The thesis clearly shows that the transformation of the state organizational model in Vietnam during the 10th-19th centuries was the result of a self-development process, a product of and aimed at meeting the demands of historical reality, while also being influenced and impacted by external factors. Among these external factors, the influence from the Chinese political model was the most frequent and powerful. However, it is a fact that the more similar a model is to an external model, and the less intrinsic vitality it possesses, the less sustainable it becomes.

- Based on research into the model of centralized state organization in medieval Vietnam, the dissertation draws many valuable lessons and experiences for the present. These include lessons on strengthening mechanisms for supervising and regulating power, the consistency of the legal system, building civic consciousness, and providing an ideological foundation…
