11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Thanks to the creative working spirit, in the middle of 17thcentury, Japanese Hizen porcelain had integrated into Asian main streams as well as adapted to domestic and international consumer's needs.

- Porcelain is not only traditional handicraft production but a very important line of business in Japan as well.

- Right from the time of formation and development, the exporting purpose is also very clear, targeted to different markets. This market segmentation came from the combination of raw material sources, manufacturing techniques, porcelain ideology and different regional cultural schools, which had produced many distinct lines showing off the Japanese miscellaneous and creative characters.

- The sense of initiative and creativity had helped Japanese people quickly grasp the new manufacturing technique and the international demand. After World War II, that Japan had become a strong economy is due to those good characteristics.

- In the 17th century, Japan had been successful to make a turning point: Japan became a porcelain exporting country from an importing one and Hizen porcelain is evaluated as a typical part of Japanese culture.

12. Practical applicability: The thesis will be a good source of information for those who want to study or teach Japanese history and culture.

13. Further research directions: Further study will focus on the impact of Hizen porcelain exporting on Japanese sociometric status.
