Migration often occurs in the following combinations:
(1) Fixed word combinations between real words and prepositions include:

• Fixed word combinations between nouns and prepositions;

• Fixed word combinations between adjectives and prepositions;

• Fixed word combination between verb and preposition.

Positive migration occurs more often than negative migration.
(2) Fixed word combinations between real words and real words include:

• Fixed word combination between verb and noun;

• Fixed word combination between verb and adverb;

• Fixed word combination between adverb and verb;

• Fixed word combination between adjective and noun;

• Fixed word combination between adverb and adjective.

Both positive and negative transfer phenomena occur very commonly in fixed word combinations between real words and real words.
12. Practical application:
- The research results of the thesis will show whether the English proficiency of high-level writers is capable of using English at a level close to or equivalent to the first language.
- The thesis is a useful document for teaching and learning foreign languages ​​because it has initially outlined the Vietnamese way of using English, helping teachers and learners to recognize the advantages and difficulties that learners may encounter in the process of writing academic English texts. From there, teachers and learners can find appropriate teaching and learning methods to improve the quality of teaching and learning foreign languages.

(1) Collocations of lexical words and prepositions which include:

• Noun-preposition collocations;

• Adjective-preposition collocations;

• Verb-preposition collocations.

Positive transfer occurs more often in those collocations than negative one.

(2) Collocations of lexical words and lexical words which consist of:

• Verb-noun collocations;

• Verb-adverb collocations;

• Adverb-verb collocations;

• Adjective-noun collocations;

• Adverb-adjective collocations.

Both types of lexical transfer frequently occur in those collocations.
