- Firstly, the thesis synthesizes and evaluates the results of previously published research, thereby identifying "gaps" that the topic can explore.
Secondly, the thesis systematically presented the theoretical basis of international economic integration, national security, and the impact of international economic integration on national security.
- Thirdly, the thesis researches and analyzes Vietnam's process of international economic integration from 2001 to the present. Based on this, it identifies the achievements, shortcomings, limitations, and their causes.
- Fourth, the thesis researches and analyzes the impact of international economic integration on Vietnam's national security from 2001 to the present, the issues raised, and the viewpoints that need to be understood.

12. Practical applications
- This dissertation contributes to enriching the theoretical framework for research on Vietnam's international economic integration, thereby further strengthening the arguments for the path towards socialism and the defense of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in the new context.
- This dissertation can be used as a reference for studying, researching, and teaching subjects related to international economic integration; it also suggests some solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of international economic integration in our country today.
- The proposals in this thesis have significant implications for formulating foreign policy in general, and international economic integration in particular, especially considering the national security aspect in the context of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
13. Future research directions
This study examines the new characteristics of international economic integration in the context of a complex global situation and its impact on Vietnam's national security, particularly non-traditional security.
