Conduct comparative researchon the meaning of idioms (limited to the scope of four-element idioms) to see the similarities and differences in thinking and in the linguistic life of the people of Vietnam and Korea. The research is limited to two social and cultural aspects because these are two important aspects that need to be clarified because they are closely related to people's daily life.             The research object of the thesis is the socio-cultural semantic aspect of idioms, but it is limited to the scope of four-component idioms and compared in the direction of Korean four-component idioms as the basic material, Vietnamese four-component idioms as the corresponding material and content.used to compare and highlight the characteristics of Korean.
11.2. Research methods used
Because the research object (four-component idiom) is a special unit in two languages with different typological characteristics, we first collected, investigated the data, assembled, and then classified the four-component idioms with social meaning and the four-component idioms with cultural meaning. After classifying into two groups of meaning as above, we applied the method of analyzing and describing the meaning of the idiom; used the method of comparison - contrast to determine similarities and differences; applied statistical techniques, created tables, diagrams, and presented the results of the comparative analysis.
11.3. Main results and conclusions
11.3.1. Main results
Through the theoretical framework of idioms (focusing on four-component idioms) together with the theory of semantics and the overview of the research situation in Chapter 1, we have approached the research on the semantic content of four-component idioms - a special linguistic unit in Korean and Vietnamese. Based on the theoretical basis in Chapter 1, we compare and contrast Korean - Vietnamese four-component idioms at the socio-semantic level in Chapter 2 and the cultural-semantic level in Chapter 3.
In chapter 2, the thesis focuses on studying the meaning of Korean four-element idioms (compared with Vietnamese) based on the socio-semantic aspect with 4 content areas: (1) Social reality; (2) Social organization relations; (3) Family relations; (4) Law.
In chapter 3, the thesis focuses on studying the meaning of Korean four-element idioms (compared with Vietnamese) based on the cultural semantics aspect with 4 content areas: (1) Behavioral culture; (2) Ideological culture; (3) Culture of customs and practices; (4) Culture of beliefs and religions.
Based on the results of quantitative surveys, we delve into the meaning analysis of a few representative cases (case studies) for each sub-field of the idiom's reflective content. From there, we find similarities and differences in the Korean-Vietnamese socio-semantic content selected for comparison expressed through the four-element idiom.
11.3.2. Conclusion
In the process of teaching and researching Korean language and culture, the author himself realized that there is still a range of knowledge content that has not been thoroughly exploited in teaching - learning and research. That is the four-element idiom - a special language unit in the language treasure of each country. Through the research results of this thesis, we have a reliable source of reference materials to be able to include in teaching about the linguistic characteristics as well as the cultural and social characteristics of Korea in relation and comparison with Vietnam.

12. Further research directions:
In this thesis, the author found that there are still some issues that need to be studied and researched further, such as: it is necessary to survey the usage situation and frequency of use of four-component idioms in the daily communication of Koreans and Vietnamese. From there, a list of frequently used four-component idioms is created, associated with the context of use. This helps to improve the effectiveness of learning and applying idioms in life, thereby helping to improve learners' language proficiency. This is also the research direction that we will continue to aim for in the future.

The research focuses on two aspects: social and cultural because these are two important aspects that need to be clarified because they are closely related to people's daily lives. Research results serve Korean language and culture training and research activities in Vietnam. 11.3.1. Major results

Through the theoretical framework of idioms (focus on four-element idioms) along with the theory of semantics and an overview of the research situation in Chapter 1, we have approached the study of the semantic content of four-element idioms - a special linguistic unit in Korean and Vietnamese. Based on the theoretical basis in Chapter 1, we compare and contrast Korean - Vietnamese four-element idioms at the socio-semantic level in chapter 2 and at the cultural semantic level in chapter 3.

In the process of teaching and researching Korean language and Korean culture, the author realized that there is still a range of content knowledge that has not been thoroughly exploited in teaching, learning and research. That is the four-element idioms - a special linguistic unit in the linguistic treasure of each country. In this thesis, the author identifies several issues that require further exploration and in-depth study, such as investigating the usage and frequency of four-element idioms in the daily communication of Koreans and Vietnamese. Based on this, a compilation of frequently used four-element idioms along with their usage contexts should be created.
