- The thesis analyzes the changes in the role of the state under the impact of globalization in basic fields: economy, politics, culture as a clear demonstration of the trends of change in the role of the state.

- The thesis clarifies some characteristics and issues arising from the role of the Vietnamese state today, thereby proposing some recommendations with solutions to improve the effectiveness of the state in performing its roles, meeting the requirements of the globalization context.
