- This dissertation analyzes the changes in the role of the state under the impact of globalization in fundamental areas: economics, politics, and culture, as clear evidence of the changing trends in the state's role.

- The thesis clarifies some specific characteristics and issues facing the role of the Vietnamese state today, and from there proposes some solution-oriented recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of the state in fulfilling its roles and meeting the requirements of the globalization context.
