10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- This dissertation clarifies theoretical and practical issues concerning the operation of state-owned economic groups, from their concept and historical development to their organizational characteristics, position, and role in the national economy. Simultaneously, it analyzes the future trends in improving and developing these groups as economic restructuring is implemented. The dissertation also clarifies the composition, content, significance, and highlights the unique characteristics of the collective economic structure formed during the production and business activities of these enterprise groups.

- Review the theoretical and legal basis of archival work to identify shortcomings when applied to the practical archival work of state-owned enterprises.

- Summarize the practical experience of organizing and managing archival work in several state-owned economic groups over the past period; analyze the causes of shortcomings in the organization and management of archival work in these groups today.

- Propose principles and some solutions for organizing and managing archival work in accordance with the organizational characteristics, operations, and document specifics of current state-owned economic groups and future development trends.

11. Practical applications:

- This thesis comprehensively assesses the current state of archival work in state-owned enterprises. Through this, we can identify strengths and weaknesses, providing guidance for improvement and refinement from various perspectives of archival work in state-owned enterprises in particular, and the Vietnamese archival sector in general.

- This dissertation can serve as a reference document for corporations, functional agencies, especially the State Archives and Records Administration, in organizing and managing the archival work of state-owned enterprises in particular, and the archival sector in general, in order to safely preserve and effectively utilize the inherent values ​​and significance of archival documents to serve the activities of enterprises and the country. At the same time, the research results can also be used as a reference document for teaching and research at universities that offer archival studies majors; and for professional training courses for officials of industry management agencies and state-owned enterprises.

- The volume and composition of various types of documents generated at member units of each State-owned economic group;

- The impact of scientific document organization on the quality of archival records at state-owned enterprises;

- The situation regarding the exploitation and utilization of natural resources for production and business activities of state-owned economic groups;

- Research and develop a list of retention periods for scientific and technical records and documents generated during the operation of state-owned economic groups;

- Professional qualifications that meet the job requirements of the archiving staff of state-owned enterprises.

- Clarifying the issues of ratiocination and from practical operations of State-owned Economic Groups (SEG) from their concept, founding and establishing history to the characteristics, positions and roles in the National economy). Besides, the thesis analyzes the completion and development trend of those groups in the future while implementing economic restructuring. It also clarifies the compositions, contents, significance and highlights the specific characteristics of archive formed during the operation of those SEG.

- Re-systematizing the rationales and legal foundation of archive work in order to find the inadequacies when it is applied in the SEG.

- Summarizing the result and analyzing the inadequacy reasons of organizing and managing of archive work in the SEG in the recent years.

- Recommending the principles and solutions of archive work which are suitable with the current characteristics of the SEG's organizing, activities and specific documentation and development trend in the future.

11. Practical applicability

- The thesis comprehensively assesses the actual archive work of SEG, thereby being able to spot out their strengths and limitations in order to figure out solutions for improvement from different angles of archive work of SEG in particular and of the Vietnam archive branch in general.

- The thesis can be used as the reference documentation for the Authorities Groups , Departments, especially for the State Records Management and Achives Department of Vietnam in organizing and managing the archive work of SEG in particular and the archive branch in general in order to preserve safety, exploit and utilize effectively the values ​​and significances of Archive to serve the operating activities of enterprises of the country. Moreover, this study can be used as the reference document for teaching, research activities of universities which have Archive major; specialized training classes for staffs of the archive branch management bodies and SEG.

- The volume, the elements of documents formed in the subsidiaries of each SEG;

- The impact of scientific documentation revising to quality of archives in SEG;

- The status of exploiting and utilizing the archives in serving the manufacturing and business activities of SEG;

- Study of establishing the schedule of preserving period of technical scientific documentations which are formed during operation of SEG;

- The quality of archive staff of SEG to meet the work requirements;

- State manages the archive works in SEG to meet the trend of ownership diversification.
