10. Summary of new results of the thesis:
- Based on the analysis of the US Southeast Asia policy system, the thesis contributes to scientifically explaining and clarifying the nature of the Southeast Asia policy of the Barack Obama administration in the political, military, economic and cultural fields.
- The thesis provides additional scientific basis for assessing the shift in the US's new strategic focus, the US's strategic direction and its impact on the Asia-Pacific region in general and Vietnam in particular.
- Based on clarifying the changes in the gathering of forces between major power centers in the world, the Thesis analyzes the opportunities and challenges for Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, and makes policy recommendations for Vietnam in its relations with the US and other major partners; clarifies the role and position of Vietnam in the current US Southeast Asia policy.
- The thesis is the first work in Vietnam to systematically and comprehensively study the basis for the formation of goals, contents and directions of implementation of the Obama administration's policies towards Southeast Asia and evaluate their consequences and impacts. At the same time, the thesis gives some suggestions for Vietnam in its relations with the US and related parties.
11. Practical application:
The most important practical contribution of the Thesis is to become a reference source for officials working in the fields of foreign affairs, national defense and security and a necessary source of materials serving the research, teaching and learning of students majoring in politics, history of international relations and international relations.

- On the basis of systematic analysis of Southeast Asia policy of the US, thesis contributes a scientific interpretation and clarification of the essence of the South East Asian policies President Barack Obama administration on the politics, military, economic and cultural.
- The thesis provides more scientific basis for assessing the shifting focus of the new strategy the US, American strategic direction and the impact on the Asia - Pacific region in general and Vietnam in particular.
- On the basis of clarifying changes in the set of forces between the major power centers in the world, the thesis analyzes the opportunities and challenges for the countries of Southeast Asia, including Vietnam and launched policy recommendations for Vietnam in its relations with the US and other major partners; clarify the role and position of Vietnam in Southeast Asia policy of the United States today.
- The thesis is the first project in Vietnam studied scientifically and comprehensively on the basis of objective form, content and policy implementation approaches B. Obama administration for South-East Asia and evaluate consequences and their impact.
