10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- An overview of the history of research on the literature of Southern Vietnam in the 17th and 18th centuries.

- Based on the results obtained from comparing it with contemporary Northern Vietnamese literature, the thesis contributes to identifying the distinctive characteristics of regional literature. At the same time, it establishes the role and position of Southern Vietnamese literature, as well as the role of prominent individuals in the development of national written literature.

- Identifying the nature and origins of Southern Vietnamese literature as a cultural element, on the one hand influenced by and a consequence of specific cultural dynamics, and on the other hand, influencing and creating dynamism in the region's cultural space.

- Compiling reference materials for literature students and those with similar interests.

- A comprehensive study of the development of written literature in Southern Vietnam, from the 17th to the end of the 19th century.

- Research on the interaction between written literature in Dang Trong (Southern Vietnam) and folk literature and culture.

- Identifying the nature and origin of Cochinchina literature as an element of Vietnamese culture, which is on the one hand affected by and a consequence of specific cultural dynamics; on the other hand, it impacted backwards and created excitement to the cultural space of the area.
