- The dissertation analyzed and further clarified the Marxist-Leninist perspective on human beings and personality; it pointed out the fundamental contributions of Marxist-Leninist philosophy to the theory of personality.
- The dissertation presented a general understanding, from a Marxist standpoint, of the concept of personality, clearly identifying its characteristics and structure, and explaining the process of personality formation and development.
- The dissertation has identified and analyzed the practical demands for research on Vietnamese human personality, applied Marxist methodological principles in the study of Vietnamese human personality, and determined the basic contents in the study of Vietnamese human personality.
