Under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan (China), the Center for Digital Content Design Research has trained faculty and students in the Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies on the use and application of equipment to organize virtual reality classes. This is an important and practical collaboration serving the opening of the Department's specialization in Linguistics and AI, and also promises many important collaborations in the near future regarding the creation of Vietnamese language and culture source corpora, the creation of source corpora for assessing Vietnamese language proficiency, the organization of virtual reality classes with National Kaohsiung University, and the creation of source corpora on Vietnamese dialects for new immigrants in Taiwan (China)...

Leaders of the Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Center for Digital Content Design Research, National Kaohsiung University, signed a cooperation agreement to apply virtual reality technology in teaching and disseminating Vietnamese language and culture abroad.
With trust and appreciation, the Center for Digital Content Design Research, National Kaohsiung University, has selected the Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, as the first unit in Vietnam to pilot virtual reality technology in higher education (after testing it with nearly 50 high schools in Taiwan (China) and Japan). The Center for Digital Content Design Research also donated four VIVE headsets to the Faculty to support the collaborative implementation, with a total value of approximately 200 million VND. These headsets were developed by HTC, one of the pioneering companies in VR headset development. The presence of these modern devices in Vietnam promises to open up a vivid and engaging learning experience, contributing to improving the effectiveness of teaching Vietnamese language and culture, and above all, promoting and affirming Vietnamese cultural identity to foreigners.

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh - Head of the Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, receives virtual reality technology equipment.
Virtual reality technology began to emerge in the late 1960s and is known by many names such as synthetic environment, cyberspace, and artificial reality. Education today is undergoing innovations in methodology in conjunction with new technologies. In this sense, virtual reality (VR) offers students new, more accessible, and more effective approaches to learning. Virtual reality (VR) is an environment that simulates the real world. It is simulated by humans, and in this environment, all images and mechanisms directly impact the human senses.
Students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities experience virtual reality technology.
Embracing these advanced devices also means embracing the hope of innovating teaching methods, improving the quality of training, and gradually affirming the position of Vietnamese as a language with cultural depth and influence in the region and the world.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Center for Digital Content Design Research, National Kaohsiung University, for their meaningful gift and valuable support to the Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. We believe that, within the framework of the traditional cooperation between our two universities, many more opportunities for research, creativity, and development will continue to open up, contributing to bringing the Vietnamese language and culture closer to international friends.
