Accompanying them were Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam – Head of the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, and several lecturers from the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, VNU-USSH.
During the working visit, the delegation visited and exchanged cooperation with universities such as Guangxi Normal University, Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology, Guilin Academy, Guangxi University for Nationalities, etc. These are close partners of the University, with many effective collaborations in training and scientific research over the years.
Based on the signed MOUs, the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology, Guilin Academy, and Guangxi University of Nationalities agreed to strengthen cooperation in training and internship locations for students; coordinate to improve the quality of Vietnamese language training; cooperate in training fields of mutual interest, especially combining science and technology with foreign language teaching; exchange capabilities in jointly building a Vietnamese-language database on science and technology for AI translation; and enhance scientific research activities and scholar exchanges.
During the meeting with the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the leaders of Guangxi Normal University stated that in 2026, Guangxi Normal University plans to open a Vietnamese language major, and therefore the University hopes that both sides will promote cooperation in training under the 3+1 model. The Vietnam Research Institute of Guangxi Normal University also proposed student exchange and publication of research papers in two scientific journals of the two universities. It is expected that two postgraduate students will be sent for an exchange program at the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language for one semester starting in September 2025. Both sides also agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) here to serve as a basis for promoting specific cooperation in the future.
