On July 19, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a working session with a delegation from Taichung University of Technology (Taiwan, China) to further promote and expand cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the positive results of cooperation over the past period and agreed to continue expanding cooperation in many areas, especially in training and organizing Vietnamese language proficiency assessment exams for students in Taiwan.
Representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed their willingness to provide maximum professional and procedural support to help Taichung University of Technology effectively implement Vietnamese language teaching and examination activities.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Professor Cheng Chun-Mei (Director of the Language Center, Taichung University of Technology) discussed areas of cooperation.
Taichung University of Technology also shared its hope of successfully organizing standardized tests, creating opportunities for Taiwanese students to access scholarships and certifications to support their career goals.
The two sides have agreed on a number of specific directions for future cooperation, including:
- Organize a thematic workshop on Vietnamese language teaching between the two schools.
- Conduct joint research in the fields of linguistics and the Vietnamese language.
- Coordinate the development of documents and regulations consistent with the laws and policies of Vietnam and Taiwan to organize Vietnamese language proficiency assessment exams in a systematic and effective manner.
The meeting opened up many prospects for practical and sustainable cooperation between the two educational institutions, given the increasing demand for Vietnamese language learning in Taiwan.
