Student activities

Learning goes hand in hand with practice.

Following the overarching principle of "Bringing the newsroom to the classroom and the classroom to the newsroom," students at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training always have the opportunity to proactively produce news articles for publication in various media outlets, just like real reporters. The extensive connections between the Institute and media organizations create a practical, hands-on training environment for journalism; allowing students to not only regularly meet and work directly with renowned journalists and experts but also gain firsthand experience in a professional media environment. In addition to opportunities for learning and practicing to enhance their skills, students also have the chance to receive royalties for their creative work.

Education promotion policy

High-achieving students will have the opportunity to receive scholarships funded by the University and several non-funded scholarships awarded by various media organizations and renowned journalists such as: Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, Vietnam News Agency, Law and Life Newspaper, Vietnam National Defense Television Channel, Vietnam Law Newspaper… Every year, outstanding students receive scholarships from domestic and international foundations and businesses such as: Green Dream Fund (Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper), Aeon, Lotte, Vingroup, Danko…

Extracurricular activities

Besides their studies, students at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training participate in many extracurricular and supplementary activities that help them develop comprehensively, such as: student volunteer activities, Job Fair career counseling, blood donation programs, student singing contests, the SJC Cup Open Football Tournament, the Journalism and Communication Singing Festival, the Journalism and Communication Festival, etc.
Students at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training have the opportunity to participate in the school's clubs such as the Shock Club, MC - Event Organizing Club, Rumbo Club, Sol Club, etc.
