Introduction to the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, Volume 2, Issue 1, 2016

In your hands is Volume 2, Issue 1, of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, containing 9 research papers, 1 book review, and other scientific information, with contributions from 12 authors, including 2 from Thailand and the United States. The articles selected for this publication were evaluated by the reviewers as representing new research directions or approaches that should be introduced to create multifaceted research trends in current social sciences and humanities research.

In the first article, the authorsLai Quoc Khanh and Phan Duy AnhBy analyzing Ho Chi Minh's philosophy from the perspective of its structure, characteristics, and values, the research results have shown...Affirming the value of Ho Chi Minh's political philosophy as a precious spiritual asset of the nation, it is necessary to continue studying, inheriting, and developing it, considering it as the basis for promoting the process of political reform in Vietnam today. In the next article, the author will elaborate.Nguyen Ngoc HuongBased on observations of the development of hospital social work worldwide, several directions for the development of this professional field, adapted to the social realities of Vietnam, have been proposed. In the third article, the author conducts research on social trust.Nguyen Quy ThanhFocusing on a gender perspective, the study analyzed modern data in social research, confirming that women in relationships are generally more trusted and enjoy greater social confidence than men. Research byTran Thanh Nam and Nguyen Thi Minh PhuThis study addresses the attitudinal aspects, personal norms, intentions, and behaviors of sexting through research on middle school students from a psychological perspective. This is a new research direction with rich research content. From the sociological perspective of religion,Tran Thi Phuong AnhThis study examines the Protestant faith of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands through the relationship between interests, living context, and religious beliefs, thereby providing data on "belief indicators" of religion among ethnic minorities and some implications related to religious policy in the Central Highlands.Tran Van KhamFrom a socio-experiential approach, the study examines the barriers faced by children with motor disabilities in their schooling, thereby identifying directions for social work support for this group. In the final study,Vu Anh ThuThe article mentioned China's presence in the Latin American and Caribbean region. This presence is not only related to economics, but also reflects other ambitions of China to increase its political influence in the region.
