As a former student of the 45th cohort of the Linguistics program, after 17 years, Dr. Tran Lan has become a renowned Vietnamese language lecturer at Kaohsiung University (Taiwan). In 2020, for her outstanding contributions to the development of Vietnamese language teaching in Taiwan, she was honored to be granted Taiwanese citizenship under the expert program. She shared: "I love my current job because it allows me to contribute to spreading the beauty and richness of the Vietnamese language and national culture to international friends. And I am even more proud that this job has given me the opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with my professors in the Linguistics Department – the place that helped me grow and achieve what I have today."
