Having initially pursued a career in Religious Studies solely to find employment, this former student from the northern midland region could hardly have imagined how quickly he would be captivated by the "mysterious" aspects of religious doctrines and the immense contributions of religion to political and social life... He is Ngo Dai Duc, a former student of the K43 class in Religious Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, currently working at the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Information and Library Science major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was not Nguyen Anh Tuan's top choice, but thanks to his tireless efforts, after more than 20 years, he has achieved successes that many people only dream of. He is currently the Chairman of GTO Media, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association, Chairman of Flash Chapter Business Networking Organization, and Chairman of the Online Business Academy.

When choosing a major for her university entrance exams, like many of her peers, Thu Trang wasn't entirely sure about her direction. After consulting with family and carefully considering her options, Trang decided to study Social Work, a new major in the Faculty of Sociology, because it suited her personality and aptitudes. And after nearly 20 years, this remains a correct and wise decision. Thu Trang is currently a lecturer in the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Sociology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Choosing to major in Chinese Studies within the Faculty of Oriental Studies and starting work to gain experience in her second year, Nguyen Thi Thu Thanh considers herself someone who always wants to step out of her "comfort zone" to seek new experiences. She believes that only through practical work experience, a proactive and sincere approach to learning, can we become better versions of ourselves every day. Currently, she is an assistant to the Chairman of Sun Group in the Northeast region.

As a former student of the 45th cohort of the Linguistics program, after 17 years, Dr. Tran Lan has become a renowned Vietnamese language lecturer at Kaohsiung University (Taiwan). In 2020, for her outstanding contributions to the development of Vietnamese language teaching in Taiwan, she was honored to be granted Taiwanese citizenship under the expert program. She shared: "I love my current job because it allows me to contribute to spreading the beauty and richness of the Vietnamese language and national culture to international friends. And I am even more proud that this job has given me the opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with my professors in the Linguistics Department – ​​the place that helped me grow and achieve what I have today."

From a proactive choice to major in Vietnamese Cultural History, Thuy Anh has demonstrated her ability to apply the cultural knowledge acquired in school to her work and achieve success. Currently, she is the Founder of Kien Restaurant, Founder of PATETA, Founder & CEO of Mam Distilerry, and Founder & CEO of Vo Cay Vang Co. Ltd., with the dream of building her own brand for traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Thuy Anh shares that, when choosing to study cultural issues, she never questioned what she would do after graduation. Because culture integrates both the vastness of history and the diversity of geography, studying culture creates a different depth in an individual's thinking, regardless of their profession.

Born in Hoa Xa, Ung Hoa District, Hanoi, Xuan Huy was one of the first students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). Thanks to his excellent academic achievements, he became a lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Having held various positions, including Deputy Director of the Center for Quality Assurance in Education, Deputy Head of the Science and Technology Department of VNU, he is currently the Director of the Institute for Quality Assurance in Education, under VNU.

As a former student of the K37 class of the former Department of Ethnology and now the Faculty of Anthropology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, with her strong research capabilities and foreign language skills, received a Master's scholarship in Anthropology in the Netherlands and a PhD in Anthropology in Australia, precisely during the period when Vietnamese Ethnology was shifting its development towards Anthropology. For a woman, the relentless pursuit of learning and the arduous journey of conducting ethnographic fieldwork to become a true anthropologist was no easy feat. However, these difficulties were compensated by the happiness of a richer spiritual life thanks to scientific knowledge; and her dedication to sharing deeper understanding and contributing more knowledge about rural Vietnamese society is gradually being realized. From an administrative perspective, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh also served as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Ethnology and is currently the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Ethnology (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences).

Having been admitted to the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with the highest score in History in the school, Nghia was ranked among the top students in the Faculty from his first year and was selected to attend a Japanese language training course organized by the Japanese Government. Seven years after graduating, Nghia founded Vietfoot Travel - a company specializing in providing high-end tourism products and with a fairly solid financial foundation. Currently, despite facing many difficulties due to the pandemic, he always believes that this is just a pause for the tourism industry in general, and Vietfoot in particular, to take further steps forward.

To date, Nguyen Khanh, a former student of the K52 Journalism program, has been associated with Tuoi Tre Newspaper for 10 years. A capable photojournalist, he has consistently won numerous National Journalism Awards since the beginning of his career. Nguyen Khanh shares his thoughts on his current work and the essential qualities of a journalist in today's society.

In the final days of adjusting university admission preferences for 2021, to help prospective students interested in Office Management to have a clearer career orientation, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of the Central Vietnam branch of the Hanoi University of Interior Affairs, and a former student of the K41 class of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, shared information about this field of study with the USSH website.

Initially not driven by personal passion, Do Phuong Mai, the front desk manager at InterContinental Hanoi Landmark 72 – the most prestigious and tallest 5-star hotel in the capital – has become "addicted" to her work after more than a decade. For Phuong Mai, every day at work is a new day filled with joy.

"Study hard, play hard" – to have many interesting and memorable experiences during his student years, alongside studying and exams. Nguyen Van Dung followed this motto throughout his student life. As a result, he achieved many accomplishments: scholarships for outstanding students in all semesters, the 2007 Mitsubishi Scholarship for the student with the highest GPA in the Faculty, and a Fellowship scholarship to participate in a short-term training course in the United States. Mr. Dung is currently working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the Second Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.

Becoming the Director of the Institute of Han Nom Studies at the young age of 35, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong, the youngest director in the history of the Institute of Han Nom Studies as well as any institute under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, is an influential figure in the academic community both domestically and internationally. He believes that Han Nom documents are not only "heritage" but also "property." Therefore, the cultural, social, academic, and economic value of Han Nom documents needs to be promoted in today's era.

Entering university in 2014, Hieu Tran, a K59 Public Relations student, completed his program in just 3.5 years. He received numerous scholarships and awards from the University and Faculty, such as academic achievement scholarships, BIDV scholarships, Chung-soo scholarships, the Youth of Humanities award, and graduated with honors. Hieu Tran is currently a professional freelance content producer. According to him, the most important thing for Public Relations students is to continuously update their skills.
