Dear teachers, educators, civil servants, and employees in the education sector.

On April 8, 2021, I was honored to be entrusted by the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government with the position of Minister of Education and Training. This is a great honor for me, and the task is very demanding, with many pressures, difficulties, and challenges. My first thoughts and concerns after taking office were about the profession and career of our teachers.

The education sector, and the teaching profession, is a glorious one. The greater the task, the heavier the responsibility, and the higher the demands, the greater the glory. We are living, working, and contributing at a time when the nation and its people are yearning for breakthroughs, hoping to elevate the country to a new, civilized, and prosperous stage of development. A part of this momentous task is entrusted to our education sector. To fulfill this mission, there is no other way than to continue to persevere and actively promote the cause of reform.

Our task is arduous, but we have many advantages, fundamentally, the entire sector has accomplished many great things in recent years. The reform path led and guided by the Party is very clear; the issue is how to implement it. We will work together, pool our intellect, and cooperate wholeheartedly to make education even better. Reform must begin with the teacher and develop the teacher, reform must be in line with reality, stemming from reality, based on reality, and solving problems from reality so that the quality of education today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow is better than today, according to a strategic direction.

More than anyone else, we earnestly desire that the status of our teachers be strengthened and the dignity of the profession be preserved. This requires many efforts and involves many factors, but first and foremost, it depends on the teachers themselves. Only through effort, exemplary conduct, intellect, and a love for the profession, for students, for knowledge and justice, along with self-respect and dignity, can we gradually enhance the dignity of our teaching profession.

We need to strengthen society's trust, but to do so, we must first have confidence in ourselves, in our abilities, and in the qualities and ethics of educators that we possess and are building. There are still many anxieties and worries, disadvantages and even injustices. At such times, let us look towards our beloved students; the highest sense of justice and the greatest compensation lies there. They are the source of endless inspiration and creative energy for us educators. Both in principle and in practice, life is always fair. If the quality of education gradually improves, students are happy, society is well-informed, management is effective, and with a spirit of dedication... society's trust in our profession will surely increase. When every lesson and every book we prepare is geared towards the students, and every innovation we implement is for the benefit of parents and students and serves the development of the country, there is no reason why we should not have a deserved position in society.

I have unwavering faith in the teaching staff and educators. I believe that all sectors and social forces will appreciate and support them, as they have always done and will continue to do. Our Party has clearly recognized their importance, the Government is very determined, the Prime Minister is very resolute, and other ministries and sectors understand and share our vision; therefore, we are certain that we will accomplish great things.

Personally, as an educator and administrator, I will do my utmost for the education sector and its development. I sincerely hope that all educators, workers, and administrators within and outside the sector will join forces and provide support.

Let's join hands right now, from this moment. Nurturing talent is for the sake of future generations; we are cultivating sweet fruits for the future, but today, both we and society must see strong, healthy trees with lush green branches and leaves.

Wishing all teachers, educators, and staff in the education sector good health, happiness, a love for their profession and life, and that they will be loved more and more by life.
