Biological anthropology is a subfield of anthropology that focuses on studying and clarifying issues of evolution and diversity in humans and related species. It encompasses issues concerning biological characteristics, origins, evolution, variation, the relationship of humans and primates to the environment and behaviors or practices, and the potential for the formation of biological and cultural behaviors in humans.
