"The silence in me"

Humanity in me is sudden silences...

After school, I sit quietly under a bench under the trees, observing and contemplating. Looking at the flow of people passing through the school yard, thousands of students are being trained together under a small roof but imbued with humanity. Why am I sitting here and where is Humanity in me?

The sunshine of Nhân Văn is sometimes the pink sunshine filled with love, the first time entering the school, the time when I was still confused when taking exams, when I first enrolled and was helped by volunteers during the exam season with warm, enthusiastic smiles. The sunshine in the paintings of the exhibitions about humanity in me, about photovoice projects, about the sea and islands, about clean water sources, women & children, ... and also the sunshine of the freshmen festival, the pink sunshine of Nhân Văn. Through those lenses, I see the profound humanity of this school, understand a little more about people and society.

Sometimes, Nhan Van brings green rays of sunshine, that is the green volunteer shirt, the green of Nhan Van in activities such as: cleaning the lecture halls, computer rooms, pedestrian bridges, school gates, whitewashing tree stumps,... extremely meaningful activities initiated by the school's youth union - student association, actively and effectively implemented by the union branches. I love Nhan Van more when I personally participate in those activities, although tiring but fun and meaningful.

There are times when I suddenly stop in front of the bulletin board and carefully read each piece of paper, which is a message, a confession, or information shared by a person or a club. From there, sometimes just the small joys spread by the owner of the pieces of paper also make me smile, sometimes I learn more information about the opening schedule of foreign language classes or information about recruiting members, achievements, and activities of clubs... There are times when I am walking in the middle of the school yard and suddenly stop and look at a group of friends practicing dancing, watching friends passing by and laughing with each other, watching chickens running around in the school yard,...

Humanities in me is sometimes when I sit in the lecture hall, suddenly look out the window and think about something about my responsibilities, obligations and also about the future. What have I learned while sitting here, what has Humanities brought me and what can I contribute to Humanities? Knowledge, life and enthusiasm?

As a freshman, my emotions are not deep enough to fully describe the humanities. I only know that I am happy to be immersed in the flow of the humanities!
