Our students affectionately call the University of Social Sciences and Humanities "the University of Humanities," a truly beautiful and meaningful name. I have always been proud of it and hold a special affection for it.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the universities within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The university is located on a plot of land at 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District. While not large in area, the campus is well-organized and equipped with all the necessary facilities to support both faculty teaching and student learning and research.
As time flows by, through the ups and downs of history, the school has been imbued with the colors of time, revealing an ancient and very majestic beauty.
Although I am a K59 student, having only been with the university for a little over a semester, I don't know and can't recount all the historical milestones and glorious achievements of this beloved institution throughout its development, intertwined with many challenges and victories. Recalling those first days stepping through the university gates—in my opinion, the University of Humanities—walking step by step across the campus, I was bewildered by everything around me, from the trees and flowerbeds displaying their blossoms to welcome us new students, to the stone benches—inanimate objects, the cheerful laughter and clear sounds… everything was unfamiliar, yet so pleasant and refreshing.
What left the most lasting impression on me were the faculty, lecturers, and students, all possessing a charming, free-spirited, and poetic demeanor. Beneath that facade lay unwavering political conviction, a high sense of responsibility, and a burning passion for their work. They were incredibly friendly and approachable. Something truly humane, right in the heart of Hanoi.
For me, the Humanities is a small haven that nurtures many dreams.
I love the Faculty of Humanities!
