Nowadays, the population issue has become one of the topical issues of the times. For many countries, including Vietnam, population growth has caused no small amount of anxiety.
Furthermore, the world is increasingly concerned with the quality of life and the enhancement of humanity in the social community. This is reflected in the United Nations' right to protection, care and education of children. This is also one of the factors that has caused the centuries-old tradition of having many children to collapse. Each family today usually only needs one or two children. That is the psychological and social mechanism of the reduction in the number of people in relation to modern living conditions.

In order to successfully achieve this goal, Psychology has a huge role to play, because “... the strong will of millions of parents will ultimately determine the number of children born in the country” (B. Urlanic).
The subject and object of population behavior are humans - an entity with consciousness and will - with certain psychological characteristics, living in a certain economic and social form. Therefore, along with other aspects of population reproduction such as: medical - biological, economic - social, ... the psychological - social aspect of the population growth problem is increasingly concerned. This promotes the birth of a very new branch of psychology - population psychology. This textbook is the first document in Vietnam on Population Psychology, a completely new scientific field in our country.
The content of the course includes 4 chapters:
