On January 17, 2013, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication signed a strategic training cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Law Newspaper. This is an important milestone in the process of building and innovating the Faculty's training methods when for the first time the Faculty of Journalism and Communication signed a strategic training cooperation agreement with an external newspaper unit.

Discussion Center No. 8 of the National Youth Union Congress was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) on December 11, 2012 with the theme “Youth volunteers for community life”. Delegates enthusiastically discussed many issues to propose solutions to develop the Youth Volunteer movement to a new level.

On the morning of September 29, 2012, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication held the opening ceremony of the 2012-2013 school year.

On the morning of September 30, 2012, the Faculty of Tourism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a scientific seminar: "Tourism, cuisine and business management issues" at the 5th floor hall of building H.

On the afternoon of September 29, with the support of the Center for Journalism and Media (CMP), a group of students Tra My, Nhat Giang, Thanh Huyen (K54 Journalism and Media) organized an extracurricular activity to exchange journalism skills and introduce the book "Stories outside the file" by writer, journalist, and police officer Dao Trung Hieu.
