Within the framework of the program "Vietnam - Korea Youth Cultural Exchange Zen Activities and East Asia Youth Cultural Exchange Zen Festival 2025", students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (USSH) participated in many meaningful activities with Korean students.

In the series of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of its establishment (1995 - 2025), the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities respectfully invites teachers and students to attend the Japanese Calligraphy Art performance program.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of tradition, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hanoi will coordinate with the school to organize a special traditional Iranian music performance on Monday, October 13, 2025.

This is the theme of the International Scientific Conference jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and the Korean Studies Institute (AKS) - Korea on the morning of August 29, 2025.

On the afternoon of August 29, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) had a meeting and worked with representatives of the leadership of Andong National University (now Gyeongkuk National University, Korea).

Within the framework of the Korean Studies Seed Project, the 6th Scientific Symposium with the theme "Korean Culture and History through the Perspective of Vietnamese Students" was successfully held on August 16, 2025 with many profound academic values.

Within the framework of cooperation between Kyoto Sangyo University (KSU, Japan) and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), 03 students majoring in Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies participated in an investigation activity on OCOP in Mai Phu commune, Ha Tinh province with students of Kyoto Sangyo University.

Within the framework of the project "Korean Studies in Northern Vietnam: Sharing and Development", teachers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities brought to students of Le Thanh Tong High School (Ha Long, Quang Ninh) an academic space and multi-dimensional experience of Korean cultural identity on August 15, 2025.

From July 3-15, 2025, 27 students from the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU were present in Chiang Mai, Thailand to participate in an academic exchange and professional internship program. This is an activity within the framework of cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU and Chiang Mai University.

From June 23 to 25, 2025, lecturers and scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities attended and shared their experiences in teaching Korean at the 2025 Korean Translation and Interpretation Teacher Training Workshop at King Sejong Institute in Vietnam, held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thao Nhi received a bachelor's degree with honors in Korean Studies from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.81/4.0, and a thesis with a score of 9.5 on the success of Kpop in the US, in which her idol BTS was mentioned as a typical example.

The training program in Japan for graduate students and postgraduate students majoring in Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, held in mid-February 2025, was not only an opportunity for students and postgraduate students to expand their academic knowledge but also an opportunity to promote research cooperation between the Department of Japanese Studies and partner universities and many leading research centers in Japan.
