VNU-USSH students win Second Prize in the Final Round of the National Korean Speaking Contest - Korean Ambassador's Cup 2026

On the afternoon of September 26th, the final round of the National Korean Speaking Contest - Korean Ambassador's Cup 2026 took place, featuring outstanding contestants selected from the semi-final rounds in the North and South regions.

Entering its 5th season, the competition continues to attract a large number of participants nationwide. In 2026, the competition recorded 94 participating institutions, including 29 universities and colleges, 49 middle and high schools, and 17 King Sejong Academies across the country. In the Final Round, contestants competed on two themes: “My Wish List (Bucket List)” and “What We Need in the Age of AI”.

Le Huy Duc Anh, a student from the K68 Korean Studies class at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, won Second Prize in the Final Round of the National Korean Speaking Contest - Korean Ambassador's Cup 2026. Prior to that, Duc Anh won First Prize in the Northern Region Semi-Final Round, thus earning the right to participate in the National Final Round.

To prepare for the competition, Duc Anh spent about four months practicing, from the school-level selection round to refining his content, correcting his pronunciation, and honing his presentation skills. The preparation process involved multiple rounds of practice, gradually perfecting his speech before entering the Final round.

Le Huy Duc Anh's achievements were made possible with the guidance and support of Ms. Heo Seon, along with encouragement from faculty members of the Department/Faculty, family, and friends.

Winning second prize in the Final Round of the National Korean Speaking Contest - Korean Ambassador's Cup 2026 is a commendable achievement in the Korean language learning and training process of K68 Korean Studies students, and also contributes to recognizing the efforts of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, in academic and foreign language competitions.
