University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

(VOV) Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2026, of the Politburo on developing Vietnamese tourism into a key economic sector in the new era has identified and proposed strong solutions to address long-standing bottlenecks in the tourism industry. According to the analysis of Associate Professor Pham Hong Long (Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), this Resolution directly identifies and proposes strong solutions to remove the "chronic" bottlenecks of the tourism industry.

On August 24, 2026, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, more than 200 officials, staff, and people from ethnic groups living and working at the Village attended the Conference on the Implementation of Civilized Tourism Conduct and Community Tourism in 2026, organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Long - Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, directly shared professional content on sustainable community tourism development and improving the quality of service for tourists.

(VNU) With nearly three decades of experience in the tourism industry, Associate Professor Pham Hong Long – Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, former Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – shares his views on educational innovation, training high-quality tourism human resources, and the role of teachers in the age of AI.

With two training programs, Tourism and Travel Service Management and Hotel Management, the Faculty of Tourism Studies not only provides students with scientific theoretical foundations in this field but also brings them practical values ​​during their studies.
