National Scientific Conference: “Basic Science and National Responsibility”

To promote cooperation among universities nationwide that train students in basic sciences, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is hosting and coordinating with universities across the country to organize the 2024 Conference of Universities Training in Basic Sciences with the theme: "Basic Sciences and National Responsibility".

The workshop attracted the participation of more than 80 scientists, managers, and lecturers from 6 major universities nationwide: University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi); University of Science (VNU Hanoi); University of Education, Da Nang University; University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Ho Chi Minh City); University of Science (VNU Ho Chi Minh City); and Da Lat University.
The workshop serves as a forum for sharing policies and experiences in scientific research development, international cooperation, student recruitment, training, and financial mechanisms. From this, solutions will be proposed to promote student recruitment, training, scientific research, and cooperation among universities specializing in basic sciences.
Time: 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday, December 9, 2024
Location: Hall 304, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
The workshop focused on the following four topics:
- Basic science played a role in drafting the documents for the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
- Basic science plays a role in formulating guidelines and policies for economic, cultural, and social development.
- Basic science provides policy advice and participates in local development.
- Basic science with international integration.
