The workshop is an academic forum for young staff and postgraduate students to publish and exchange new research results on social sciences and humanities issues, enhancing international publication capacity in response to the requirements of international standards applied in scientific activities of domestic and foreign organizations.
The workshop attracted the participation of more than 100 domestic and international delegates from universities, research institutes, organizations, businesses, graduate students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and several other universities.

The workshop focused on the following contents:- Theoretical and practical issues of social sciences and humanities (history, philosophy, religion, education, culture, language, communication, sociology, psychology, politics...) in sustainable development in Vietnam and other countries;
- Suggestions on policy, on the development of social sciences and humanities in sustainable development.
The workshop is divided into 3 sub-committees:- Subcommittee 1: Issues of Political Science, Journalism and Communication, International Studies
- Subcommittee 2: Issues of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Linguistics
- Subcommittee 3: Issues of History, Tourism Studies, Religious Studies, Oriental Studies
