On September 19, 2012, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan (Director of VNU) signed Decision No. 3072/QD-DT promulgating the standard training program for the Public Relations major. The Public Relations major is trained by the Faculty of Journalism and Communication - University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the major code: 52360708, graduation title: Bachelor. The total number of credits students must accumulate is 131 credits.

The total number of credits students must accumulate is 131 credits.The objective of the public relations undergraduate education program is to train bachelors with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to carry out activities to build, maintain, and develop images and two-way relationships between agencies, organizations, businesses, etc. After the course, students will have the capacity to work in public relations in government agencies, non-governmental agencies, media agencies, businesses, companies providing professional public relations services, political and social organizations, etc. At the same time, they can continue to study, participate in higher education, and accumulate experience to become leaders and experts in the field of public relations. Students of the public relations major will be fully equipped with general knowledge, knowledge of the social sciences and humanities, industry and industry groups. The program focuses on training necessary professional skills: the ability to create, develop, and lead changes in the profession; autonomy; Teamwork skills; management and leadership skills; Communication; Foreign languages - Information technology... Along with that, during the learning process, students are also fully equipped with personal ethics, professional ethics, social ethics. For many years, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication has always been one of the largest training and research institutions for journalism and communication in the country. The Faculty has been providing thousands of reporters, editors, public relations staff, advertisers, event organizers, etc. with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees for mass media agencies and political, economic, cultural and social organizations. Opening a standard training program in public relations contributes to creating more career opportunities for students after graduation while continuing to affirm the prestige, position and strong development of the Faculty.
