Welcome to the online admissions counseling program for the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. WE INVITE YOU ALLASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE.
maingocanh2310@...: Internship opportunities abroad for hotel and restaurant management
ReplyYou can find many announcements about internship opportunities abroad in the hospitality management field. At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities alone, for the past three years, an average of 12-15 students have had the opportunity to do internships in Singapore each year. Most of them are students from the Tourism Department.
keo.192@...: How long does it take to complete a double degree?
ReplyThe duration of a double degree program should be understood in two ways: - Maximum course duration: Students pursuing a double degree are only recognized as having graduated within the maximum duration of their first major (6 years). For example: If you enrolled in Journalism in 2008, the maximum time to graduate from Journalism is 2014, which is also the maximum time to graduate with a double degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management. - Study duration: Students are eligible to pursue a double degree while they are in their third to seventh semester of their first major. For example, the 2009 cohort still has the opportunity to register for a double degree, while the 2011 cohort is just beginning to have the opportunity. Double degree students study alongside students from the first major in the Faculty of Tourism Studies, or they may be in a separate class depending on the time and class size. Double degree students will intensify their studies during the summer semester, so if you're pursuing a double degree, you'll be more demanding as there's almost no summer break, but in reality, the duration of a double degree will be shorter.
nguyenhong.vnhk55@...: What is the future and job opportunity like for this industry?
ReplyPlease refer to the 2012 University Admissions Handbook of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, which is available as an ebook on the University's website – http://ussh.vnu.edu.vn
thuyan0289@...: What are the job opportunities for students majoring in tourism and travel service management in the future?
ReplyThe global economic downturn has affected the growth of all sectors, but the tourism industry continues to thrive. In the first six months of 2012, the number of international visitors to Vietnam increased by 13.9% compared to the same period in 2011. You can find more information at this address: http://www.vietnamtourism.gov.vn/index.php?cat=1001&itemid=11601. This growth rate, coupled with the presence of numerous large international corporations in the hotel and resort sector, indicates increasingly high and attractive job opportunities for students in this field.
hoangtuyenxhh@...: I'm a fourth-year Sociology student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. I'd like to ask if it's possible to pursue a second degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management?
ReplyYou have one last chance: register before September 29, 2012.
thuhuong.5591@...: - How many years does it take to complete a double degree program?
ReplyPlease see the answers above. - I am a final-year student, so am I eligible to register and submit an application?
sarangb_yn166@...: How long does it take to complete a second major?
ReplyPlease refer to the answers provided above. It's worth noting that among the first 20 students who graduated with a double degree in this field in 2012, some actually started their double degree in their third year of their first major and graduated with a double degree just one semester after graduating from their first major. The time it takes to complete the course depends on the individual student.
ngocanh.vnu91@...: What are the career opportunities like for this field of study?
ReplyPlease see the answer above.
Bluesky_doanhngoc@...: - How many credits do students need to accumulate for this double degree?
Reply- The number of credits for double degree students varies depending on their first major. Please see details at: http://dt.ussh.edu.vn - I am a final-year student; will this affect my academic progress and internships? - Your question is very important. Imagine that you have the right to register for the course now, and it's your only opportunity. After admission, the Academic Affairs Office encourages you to register for a double degree with a moderate workload in this first semester, and even, if absolutely necessary, defer it to the second semester to focus on graduating from your first major and then fully concentrate on the double degree program.
damdong27@...: What are the main development directions for the hotel industry in the future?
Reply:
kenh2781993@...: I would like to know how many credits are required for this major?
ReplyPlease see the answer already provided.
luongtuyet.tnhp@...: Where is the course located?
ReplyDouble degree students study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and can also study at the university of their first major (if they are students of the University of Foreign Languages).
nguyenyenk56tamlyhoc@...: What are my career opportunities after studying this major?
ReplyPlease see the answer provided above.
bingo2708@...: Is it possible that the class schedule will clash with the timetable of my first major?
ReplyThis is an interesting issue for students majoring in a second field. Aside from the summer semester, where timetable conflicts are unlikely, in the main semesters, to avoid clashes with the first semester's schedule, students have to attend classes in the evenings, on weekends, etc., or they need to have the skills to register for both their first and second majors within the week's class time from the 1st to the 10th period.
khieungoank54dph@...: What is the total tuition fee for the entire course?
ReplyTuition fees are paid per credit, at a rate of 250,000 VND per credit.
builan1702@...: Teachers, I have a question.
ReplyBoth of your questions have been answered above. Please read on. - If we pursue a double degree in tourism, can we register for our own courses to fit our schedules? - How long will it take us to complete the course? Thank you!
anhvanthihoang.1993@...: - How long does it take to study this major?
ReplyBoth of your questions have been answered above. Please read on. - How many credits are required?
duybangpsy@...: - I read in the student handbook that the deadline to complete a second major is two years (four semesters) after graduating from the first major. As a final-year student, if I pursue a double degree in Tourism and Travel Management, will I be able to graduate in two years?
Reply- Regarding your first question, the calculation is as follows: approximately 90 credits for the remaining 6 semesters, which is an average of 16 credits per semester, not including the 2 summer semesters. Therefore, you can absolutely graduate. - What job opportunities would I have if I graduated with a degree in Tourism and Travel Management? Because it has historically been very difficult to find a job in this field. - Please see the details here: http://ussh.vnu.edu.vn/pub/Cam%20nang%20tuyen%20sinh%202012%20cua%20VNU-USSH.pdf
daothitrai.bg@...: Regarding the literature major, is it possible to pursue a double degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management?
ReplyThe university has launched a dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management for students from ALL majors within the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This is the latest decision recently signed by the university.
ltthutrang75@...: - Job opportunities after completing the course?
Reply- The job opportunities have already been answered above. - What are the advantages for students pursuing a double degree? - The biggest advantage is that students already have a foundation of knowledge, skills, and learning methods from their first major, especially knowledge in social sciences and humanities, which is particularly necessary and valuable for those working in the tourism industry. This is an advantage that students without a double degree cannot have. The second advantage is that the Faculty of Tourism Studies has been offering double degree programs for up to four years, so they have accumulated a lot of experience in organizing training and supporting students. The third advantage is that the University and the Faculty of Tourism Studies have close relationships with many corporations and businesses in the tourism and travel industry, which is advantageous not only in training but also in creating job opportunities for students. The fourth advantage is that the growth rate of the tourism industry remains strong, and job opportunities are available to you even while you are still studying. These are the basic advantages that students pursuing a double degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management have.
huongtrang.k55.qtvp@...: What are the opportunities and challenges when studying this major?
ReplyOpportunities have been discussed extensively above, and challenges regarding the timetable have been mentioned. Now, I'd like to share some additional challenges: - Tuition fees: Double degree students do not receive the same government funding as regular students. Therefore, tuition fees will be a challenge you need to consider. - Work-life balance: Studying will be very demanding. The pressure is considerable, and you will need to find a wise way to balance your life.
nguyenhieu.hello@...: Besides studying at school, we need to study outside of school. So, what places offer the best learning opportunities for us without costing a lot of money?
ReplyYour question is very interesting. However, you didn't specify what you mean by "learning outside of school," so I can only share that there are many free online learning sites available, and there's another incredibly useful free learning option you can always access: SELF-LEARNING.
dung.ulis2807@...: Is the university offering a double degree program in Management Science this year?
ReplyIf it were 2012, no. But for the 2012-2013 school year, it definitely would be implemented. That means it would be done in the second semester of 2012-2013.
hienphuong299@...: - Besides going on tours, what are some interesting aspects of the tourism major that can be applied to future life? Thank you very much!
ReplyYour question is excellent. Since you mentioned that the application to your future life is too broad and difficult to define, I'll tentatively interpret it as: - It's a profession that provides income for your life. - Traveling extensively expands your knowledge and understanding. - Traveling extensively gives you much to share with others. - (and) I'll leave that for you to explore further.
09030373@...: What are the career opportunities in the field of Tourism and Travel Service Management?
ReplyPlease see the answers above.
park_yoochun2001@...: - Training program framework
ReplyFor information on training programs, please visit http://dt.ussh.edu.vn - Job opportunities
hoa.xu.9@...: Do students have many job opportunities in the tourism industry after graduation?
ReplyPlease see the answers above.
dothanhliem.92@...: Will taking a double major have a positive effect on my current history studies?
ReplyOh, that's a great question! I really like it. Think about it: if you get a double degree in tourism and then work in the field, especially as a tour guide, you'll see history in a wonderfully different way. Furthermore, you'll see how wonderfully the knowledge of history can be applied to real life. I really hope you'll pursue a double degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management and then share your insights with me. Good luck!
kieutrang0208@...: - Students can choose which foreign language they want to study or just study English.
ReplyThe question about foreign languages is also really interesting for those involved in training. Students in the dual degree programs in Tourism and Travel Service Management at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will study 6 credits of specialized foreign language (except for students in Oriental Studies, International Studies, and Vietnamese Studies). If there are enough students studying French or Chinese, specialized foreign language classes will be opened in those languages. - How will the timetable be arranged, and what will the course registration process be like? - The timetable will be designed so that students can study and excel in both majors. Students register for courses during the regular student registration periods, but there will be separate periods for dual degree students if needed.
Dark0m3ga@...: - I would like to know more information about the study process and career orientation during and after graduation in tourism and travel management. Thank you very much.
ReplyPlease be more specific with your question. It's difficult to answer it directly. Thank you!
thu.nguyen93hp@...: Job opportunities for students majoring in tourism, service and travel management.
ReplyPlease see the answer above.
tranhauhpt@...: Opportunities and challenges for tourism students?
ReplyPlease see the answer above.
maimaimituot@...: My English level isn't very good, so should I consider pursuing a double degree with a foreign language university?
ReplyOh, if you're weak in a language, you should definitely learn it, but learning a foreign language and majoring in foreign languages are different. You should learn a foreign language, but you SHOULD NOT major in foreign languages if you're really weak because then you'll just have a second degree... not very good, or even no degree at all...
Hocjlanky17@...: Job opportunities after graduation?
ReplyPlease see the answer above.
duyennguyen011g2@...: Besides tourism, does the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities offer any other double degree programs, and what are the specific dates?
ReplyFor the second semester of the 2012-2013 academic year, the university plans to recruit students for the Journalism, Management Science, and International Studies programs.
tranminhmanh.arsenal@...: After completing the course, students can receive two degrees, meaning a degree they are currently studying for and a double degree. Does pursuing a double degree affect the results of their current major?
ReplyYou asked if pursuing a double degree affects your current major, and the answer is: - It's important to distinguish between positive and negative impacts. - For positive impacts, please see the answer given to dothanhliem.92@ above. - For negative impacts, it makes things difficult for your first major because you can't dedicate your full time after classes to your second major; you have to share it with your second major. Then, your budget has to be divided between two majors…
thanhnga.k54ls@...: If the maximum time for my first major (6 years) has elapsed but I haven't finished my second major, can I continue studying? If not, what will happen?
ReplyIf you don't finish your studies within the maximum time limit, you won't be awarded a diploma, but you will receive certification for everything you have learned and achieved.
Tran Thi Ngoc Anh @ 8:15 PM, September 20, 2012 Dear teachers, I would very much like to attend the counseling session, but it is scheduled for the morning of September 25th, which is Tuesday. Most students have classes on that day. Therefore, I respectfully request that you consider rescheduling it to Saturday. Thank you sincerely!
ReplyI welcome your suggestion. It's worth mentioning. It's true that the Project Management Team didn't pay attention to this when calculating the implementation time. To make up for it, you can ask questions and the Project Management Team will answer, or you can come to room 604A, building E to meet with me, and we can discuss this thoroughly.
Pham Ngoc Thuy @ 20:22, September 20, 2012: Dear teachers, I would like to ask if, in my first year, I study a different major such as Law, can I still pursue a second degree in Service and Tourism Management?
ReplyCurrently, our university does not offer a dual degree program in Law.
Tran Thi Thu Trang @ 20:57, 20/09/2012 Teacher, I have a question regarding the admission requirements. It states: - At least 40 credits of courses in the first major program must match the list of courses in the double degree program (appendix attached to this announcement). However, I can't find the appendix. Could you please provide it? Thank you.
ReplyOh dear, I'm very sorry. Please check the Training Department's website – http://dt.ussh.edu.vn – however, if you're checking to see if you're eligible for admission, I can tell you right away that the Training Department has reviewed the applications and students from all majors at the university are eligible to pursue a double degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management.
Nguyen Thi Duyen @ 23:50, September 20, 2012: I would like to know if, besides the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities offers any other dual degree programs. And what is the admission period? Thank you very much!
