Announcement regarding the acceptance of applications for NAFOSTED - FWO in 2020

The National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) and the Flanders Science Foundation (FWO – Belgium) have signed an agreement.Minutes of the general agreementRegarding the implementation of the Co-funding Program for bilateral cooperation projects between Vietnamese and Flemish scientists since 2009. The purpose of the Program is to promote active cooperation between Vietnamese and Flemish scientists to address topical, global issues and enhance national scientific research capacity.

To date, the Program has completed five funding rounds with a total of 33 projects across diverse fields in Natural Sciences and Engineering, Social Sciences and Humanities. 2020 marks the next funding round within the framework of the Memorandum of Agreement between NAFOSTED and FWO, and applications officially began on March 2nd, 2020.

Further information about the program is as follows:

1. Program Implementation Progress:

- March 2nd, 2020 – May 18th, 2020: Announcement of funding and acceptance of applications;

- May – November 2020: Evaluation and selection of research topics;

- December 2020: Sponsorship contract signed.
