Announcement regarding the organization of the High School Student Assessment Exam (HSA) in 2025

On February 5, 2025, the National University of Hanoi's Examination Center officially issued a notice regarding the organization of the 2025 High School Student Competency Assessment Exam. Specifically, the details are as follows:

1. Eligible contestants

Students currently in grade 12 following the general education program issued under Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDĐT dated December 26, 2018, by the Minister of Education and Training on the overall general education program; amended and supplemented in some contents by Circular No. 13/20122/TT-BGDĐT dated August 3, 2022, by the Minister of Education and Training; who wish to take the HSA exam and comply with the local government's epidemic prevention regulations (if any).

2. Time and location of the exam

(Students should pay attention to their high school's midterm exam schedule to avoid choosing exam sessions that conflict with the HSA exam schedule).

*The system will allow candidates to choose a second exam session (if desired) from 09:00 on March 3, 2025, until 14 days before the official exam date. Candidates select their exam location on the exam registration system.http:/hsa.edu.vn/.The exam schedule may be adjusted to suit disease prevention and control measures (if any).

3. Choose your exam time slot and pay the fee.

Candidates create an account to take the exam athttp://khaothi.vnu.edu.vn/orhttp:/hsa.edu.vn/and select the corresponding exam session. The system only allows one account to log in and operate on one computer device at a time. Candidates can only choose one exam session during the exam periods from 9:00 AM on February 23, 2025 to 4:30 PM on March 2, 2025. The system will allow candidates to choose a second exam session (if desired) from 9:00 AM on March 3, 2025 until 14 days before the official exam date. Registration and exam fees must be paid online within 96 hours of completing exam session registration. After 96 hours, if the fee is not paid, the exam session will be automatically canceled. The system allows candidates to register for a maximum of 2 exam sessions per year (as of December 31, 2025). Two consecutive sessions must be at least 28 days apart. Exam sessions will automatically close 14 days before the official exam date.
The exam fee from 2025 onwards is 600,000 VND/candidate/exam attempt (Six hundred thousand Vietnamese Dong/candidate/exam attempt).
The fee paid is non-refundable for any reason. Candidates should read the instructions carefully and consider their decision before paying the fee.
The exam notification will be sent via email and posted to your exam account 7 days before the official exam date.

4. Organizing the exam

Starting February 15, 2025, the High School Student Assessment Exam (HSA) will be organized by the Institute of Digital Training and Testing under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Exam sessions will take place from March 15, 2025 to May 18, 2025 in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, etc. Exam organization will ensure disease prevention measures are in place and that the 2022-2025 academic year's learning plan is maintained.

5. The exam

The high school student competency assessment test is computer-based, lasting 195-199 minutes, and consists of two compulsory sections: Mathematics & Data Processing (50 questions, 75 minutes) and Literature & Language (50 questions, 60 minutes). For the third section (50 questions, 60 minutes), candidates can choose either Science or English. Each section of the test may include one additional free-of-score test question.

6. Certificate of Results

Candidates can check their exam results and receive their Certificate of Results 14 days after the exam. The Certificate of Results will be sent via registered mail to the address and phone number provided in the HSA exam registration account.
