Notice on Proposal for Science and Technology Tasks at VNU level in 2026

1. Orientation
Focus on developing the unit's potential on the basis of increasing international publications and developing applicable scientific products; prioritizing long-term group/chain tasks, creating key complete products; interdisciplinary, cross-disciplinary, and cooperative between research groups/units in VNU; having research cooperation with foreign professors, aiming for top international publications/with the ability to transfer and commercialize intellectual property assets, connecting local industries, developing and incubating strong international research groups.
- Focus on developing products according to the priority directions of VNU, according to key programs at VNU level:
+ Program for developing major, cutting-edge scientific products (Program No. 152-CTr/DU dated May 4, 2021 of the Party Committee of VNU).
+ Program "Science and Technology to serve investment attraction and socio-economic development of coastal provinces (Issued under Decision 2421/QD-VNU dated July 19, 2022 of VNU).
+ Program "Research and transfer of solutions and models for developing cultural and creative industries in Hanoi and some localities" (Issued under Decision 2556/QD-VNU dated June 12, 2024 of VNU).
+ Program "Research and propose solutions to promote Vietnam's innovative economic development towards sustainable development goals" (Issued under Decision 2568/QD-VNU dated June 12, 2024 of VNU).
+ Program "Ethnic cultural resources and policies of Vietnam in the context of integration and development" (Issued under Decision 2576/QD-VNU dated June 12, 2024 of VNU).
- Priority objects:
+ Young PhDs (under 40 years old) who have not yet chaired a VNU-level S&T task: prioritize tasks aimed at attracting more resources to expand research directions and create opportunities for international cooperation and exchange;
+ Key research center/laboratory, strong research group: prioritize common task proposals to solve overall problems, create a complete product system, commensurate with the potential and scale of the organization;
+ Scientists register to participate in the Project of excellent scientists and research groups of VNU in 03 directions: potential/excellent at VNU level/international standards.
2. Proposal process
Scientists access the VNU-level science and technology task management software system at the addresshttp://hrm.vnu.edu.vn, propose tasks (Form 01/KHCN of the Regulations on management of science and technology tasks at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi level issued under Decision 3149/QD-VNU dated September 20, 2022).
Time to propose tasks on the system and submit 01 paper proposal to the Department of Scientific Research Managementbefore February 28, 2025.
