
Since the beginning of the 21st century, international relations have undergone profound structural and dynamic transformations. Globalization continues to expand but simultaneously faces new challenges such as strategic competition among major powers, geopolitical conflicts, protectionist trends, and global issues like climate change, pandemics, and digital transformation. The shift towards a multipolar order and the increasing role of non-state actors have made the international environment increasingly complex and unpredictable.
In this context, Vietnam needs to clearly identify new trends to build a proactive, flexible, and effective integration strategy. The seminar "New Trends in International Relations from the Beginning of the 21st Century and Their Impact on Vietnam" was organized to analyze the prominent changes in the international environment and assess their multifaceted impact on Vietnam, thereby proposing orientations and solutions to enhance the effectiveness of foreign relations and the country's international standing.
