Exhibition on the destruction of the atomic bomb "From ruins to revival"

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, in collaboration with the National Peace Memorial Museum for the Victims of the Atomic Bombing of Nagasaki, organized the “Exhibition on the Destruction of the Atomic Bombs Dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War II: From Ruins to Resurrection”.

Time: 09:00 September 25, 2017.

Location: 1st floor, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi).

The exhibition lasts 42 days, until November 5, 2017.

The ceremony is expected to be attended by: Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam - Mr. Kunio Umeda; ambassadors and representatives of several embassies that have cooperative relations with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Mr. Masanobu Chita - Director of the National Peace Memorial Museum for the Victims of the Atomic Bombing of Nagasaki; representatives of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam Peace Committee and several living witnesses of the two atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The exhibition will display 36 photos of the destruction of the two bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as well as images of the revival of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Within the framework of the ceremony, the Organizing Committee will organize an exchange session with some living witnesses of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki with the audience of the ceremony.

This is the first exhibition in Vietnam and the 12th time the Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Museum for the Atomic Bomb Victims has organized it overseas. Through the exhibition, the organizers want to remind future generations of the crimes of war and call on everyone to build a peaceful world without nuclear weapons.
