An exhibition on the destruction of the atomic bomb, "From Ruin to Rebirth".

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the National Peace Memorial Museum for the Victims of the Nagasaki Atomic Bombing, is organizing the "Exhibition on the Destruction of the Atomic Bombs Dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II: From Ruin to Rebirth".

Time: 9:00 AM, September 25, 2017.

Location: 1st floor, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi).

The exhibition lasts 42 days, until November 5, 2017.

The ceremony is expected to be attended by: the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Kunio Umeda; ambassadors and representatives from several embassies that have cooperative relations with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Mr. Masanobu Chita, Director of the National Peace Memorial Museum for Victims of the Nagasaki Atomic Bombing; representatives from the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam Peace Committee, and several surviving witnesses of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The exhibition will display 36 photographs depicting the destruction caused by the two bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as images of the reconstruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As part of the ceremony, the organizers will hold a Q&A session with several surviving witnesses of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki for the audience.

This is the first exhibition of its kind in Vietnam and the 12th time the National Peace Memorial Museum for Victims of the Nagasaki Atomic Bombing has co-organized an event abroad. Through this exhibition, the organizers aim to remind future generations of the atrocities of war and call on everyone to build a peaceful world free of nuclear weapons.
