With a coastline stretching thousands of kilometers and a territorial sea exceeding one million square kilometers, the sea and islands have, since ancient times, been an inseparable part of Vietnam's sacred sovereignty. Vietnamese people along the eastern coast have always considered "the boat as their home, the sea as their homeland." The thematic exhibition "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa - Vietnam's Sea and Islands" will showcase approximately 300 representative documents and artifacts, including maps, official documents, photographs, books, and documentary films, accompanied by stories that truthfully and objectively reflect the history of generations of Vietnamese people exploiting the sea and exercising sovereignty over Vietnam's Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos, as well as the close, blood-bond ties between the mainland and the islands, demonstrated through field visits and movements focused on Truong Sa and Hoang Sa... including the sentiments of the school's leaders, staff, and students...
The exhibition is one of the practical actions demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the School in general in contributing its intellect and efforts to promoting the historical and cultural traditions of maritime exploitation over thousands of years of Vietnamese history, as well as the establishment and enforcement of sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos of Vietnam. It is also an expression of gratitude to the generations of ancestors who tirelessly and selflessly guarded and protected the peace in these remote areas, many of whom fought and sacrificed heroically.
