The 15th Anniversary of the Center for Chinese Studies (2002-2017) and the Scientific Conference “Confucianism in the Relationship of the Three Teachings”

The Center for Chinese Studies (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) will organize the 15th Anniversary Celebration (2002 - 2017) and the Scientific Conference "Confucianism in the Relationship of the Three Teachings".

1. 15th Anniversary of the Center's Establishment:

Time:8:30 – 9:00, Saturday, November 25, 2017

Location:Room 506, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Hanoi.

2. WorkshopScience "Confucianism in the relationship of the Three Religions"

Time: 9:00 – 17:00, Saturday, November 25, 2017.

Location: Room 506, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities

336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi

The conference takes Confucianism as the main focus, in relation to Buddhism and Taoism. Based on the overview of research achievements on the Three Teachings through the periods, scientists will propose new perspectives and methods in the study of Confucianism in particular and the Three Teachings in general.

The workshop also studied the interactions and transformations of the Three Religions in Vietnam over time, to a certain extent, with a comparative perspective with the Three Religions in East Asian countries...

The workshop is an academic forum for Vietnamese Confucian scholars to enhance exchanges and debates on past and present research perspectives on Vietnamese Confucianism and propose new research directions in the future.

The workshop creates opportunities to promote dialogue and research cooperation between Vietnamese Confucian scholars and regional and international academics.

The workshop was attended by researchers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM), the Institute of Chinese Studies, the Institute of Han-Nom Studies, the Institute of Philosophy, the Institute of Literature, the Vietnam Buddhist Academy, Hanoi National University of Education, Da Nang National University of Education and a number of other units, along with staff, graduate students, postgraduate students and students of the units under the University.
