TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE AND RULES
Happy Vietnamese Teachers' Day 20/11/2017
* Dates: November 17, 18, and 20, 2017
Location: Room 103, 1st Floor, Building E
- Qualifying round matches will be played from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on November 17, 2017 (if the time runs out, the remaining matches will be played at 3:30 PM on November 18, 2017).
- Time of the semi-final and final matches: 9:00 AM on November 20, 2017
There are 24 athletes, divided into two groups, A and B.
- Athletes in each group will draw lots randomly and play in pairs (1 A – 1 B, 2 A – 2B, ..., 6A – 6B)
- Round 2 will also involve a random draw, similar to Round 1.
- Round 3: The remaining 3 athletes from each group will play a round-robin tournament (1 point for each win, 0 points for each loss). The top 2 athletes from each group will advance to the semi-finals (1st in Group A – 2nd in Group B; 2nd in Group A – 1st in Group B).
- When a male athlete plays against a female athlete, the handicap is set at 2-2-2.
- If an athlete is absent, the organizers will draw lots and award a 3-0 victory to the athlete drawn in the same pair.
- Qualifying matches are played in best-of-three sets (winner takes two sets); semi-finals and finals are played in best-of-five sets (winner takes three sets).
- Each win earns 1 point, a loss earns 0 points; in round 3, a round-robin format is used. If two athletes have the same number of points, tie-breaking criteria will be applied (set wins - set losses). If still tied on set tie-breaking criteria, the number of wins and losses in each set will be considered.

- There are 7 pairs of athletes divided into 2 groups A & B, competing in a round-robin format; the top two pairs from each group will advance to the semi-finals (1st A – 2nd B, 2nd A – 1st B).
- The qualifying round is best of 3, the semi-finals and finals are best of 5.
- When a male pair of athletes faces a mixed pair of athletes, the handicap is 2-0-2.
- If any pair of athletes is absent, the organizers will award the victory to the remaining pairs of athletes.
- Each win earns 1 point, a loss earns 0 points. If two teams are tied on points, tie-breaking criteria will be applied (set wins - set losses). If still tied on set tie-breaking criteria, the number of wins and losses in each set will be considered.

BADMINTON TOURNAMENT RULES
HAPPY VIETNAMESE TEACHERS' DAY 20/11
1. Target audience:
- Faculty and students currently working or studying at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
2. Content and format of the competition:
2.1. Competition details:
- The sports competition will feature doubles events, without age restrictions (men's doubles, women's doubles, or mixed doubles, as registered by the participating units).
- Athletes register to compete through the Trade Union Office. Based on individual units with only one member, the Organizing Committee will pair them up for competition.
2.2. Competition Format:
- The current badminton rules will be applied, with adjustments to suit the school's facilities and the participants.
- The couples compete in a knockout format.The draw will be decided by the Organizing Committee after the full list of registered participants is available..
- The shuttlecock used in the match is a standard shuttlecock for outdoor badminton.
- Matches consist of 3 sets of 11 players each; the team that wins 2 sets wins the entire match.
3. Prize structure
- One first prize: 500,000 VND
- Second prize: 300,000 VND
- Two third prizes: 200,000 VND
4. Time and location of the competition:
- Time: 8:30 AM, November 20, 2017.
- Location: Campus of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
