Pursuant to Decision No. 1340/QD-DHQGHN, dated April 24, 2017 of Hanoi National University, the Department of Religious Studies has been approved to be the first unit in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to enroll Masters in Religious Studies by a new method of examination (evaluation of application documents and interviews). Therefore, the Department of Religious Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi National University, would like to inform candidates about this new form of examination, which will be implemented from the second round of 2017 as follows:
1. Admission information
1.1. Admission form: selection (application review and interview), details in attached five.
1.2. Information about the training program (2 types of training):
- Master of Religious Studies with research orientation.
- Master of Applied Religious Studies
1.3. Admission objects
1.3.1. Master of Religious Studies with Research Orientation
- Have a clear personal history, not currently being prosecuted for criminal liability.
- Have a university degree in religious studies or a major relevant to religious studies; or have a regular university degree in a related field and have taken additional courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in religious studies.
- Candidates are allowed to take the exam in the year they receive their university degree or in the year they receive their certificate of additional knowledge.
1.3.2. Master of Applied Religious Studies
- Have a clear personal history, not currently being prosecuted for criminal liability
- Have a university degree in the right major, suitable major or related majorand all other industrieshas taken additional courses to obtain a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies
1.3.3. List of correct, suitable and close industries:
+ Correct major: Religious Studies
+ List of suitable majors: Philosophy, Scientific Socialism, Political Education
+ List of related majors: Psychology, Sociology, Management Science, Anthropology, History, Political Science, Literature, Vietnam Studies, Linguistics, Journalism, Tourism Studies, Oriental Studies (Domestic and foreign)
