1. Summary of science and technology activities in 2016 and the first months of 2017
- 1.1. Evaluate scientific publication performance through indicators such as: the number of research papers published in domestic and international journals; and the number of monographs. Compile a list of scientific works published by staff members in the unit during the first months of 2017.
- 1.2. Evaluating the results of organizing and implementing scientific tasks (workshops, seminars; research topics and projects at all levels; scientific research activities of young staff and students)
- 1.3. Evaluating the development of human resources in science and technology, building strong research groups, and science and technology awards.
- 1.4. Evaluate the outstanding results, clearly describe the scientific and practical values, identify shortcomings, and propose solutions to overcome them.
2. Develop a plan and budget for 2018.
- 2.1. Proposals for VNU-level research projects: In addition to proposing projects that directly develop the field and meet practical requirements, units with strong scientific potential (professors, associate professors, and PhDs trained abroad) and strong research groups should develop at least two proposals with scientific products in the form of internationally published articles in the ISI/Scopus system. Other units should develop at least one proposal with a scientific product of this type.
- Proposals for research projects at VNU should be submitted to the Research Management Department before the deadline.26/4/2017(Wednesday),This includes proposal forms and summary sheets (as per the attached template).
- 2.2. For proposals at the institutional level, the University will prioritize topics that contribute to improving the quality of master's theses and doctoral dissertations (a topic registration form is attached).
- 2.3. Propose a plan for organizing seminars and other scientific activities of the unit (with attached project proposal). The university prioritizes seminars that involve the participation and financial contribution of other units and aim for international publications.

- 2.4. Proposing other scientific tasks
- Propose projects to enhance research capacity.
- Proposal for national-level science and technology tasks according to Official Letter No. 721/ĐHQGHN-KHCN dated March 7, 2017, from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, regarding proposals for national-level science and technology tasks in 2018.
- Proposing tasks related to science and technology under the protocol.
- Propose projects using development investment capital for science and technology to renovate, upgrade, build new facilities, or invest in basic infrastructure for laboratories and research and development organizations.
