- For master's degree candidates: candidates must have a score of 5.0 or higher in the basic and foundational subjects and a foreign language score of 50 or higher to be eligible for admission.
- For doctoral candidates: candidates with a professional profile evaluation score of 55 points or higher are eligible for consideration.
- The cutoff scores for each major will be announced on the university's website after approval by the Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Candidates wishing to request a review of their Foreign Language exam should contact the Postgraduate Admissions Council of the University of Foreign Languages, VNU Hanoi.
