Consideration for awarding the title "Outstanding Young Person at the Grassroots Level in 2014"

In accordance with Official Letter No. 4179/ĐHQGHN-CTHSSV dated November 10, 2014, from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, regarding the awarding of the title "Outstanding Young Face of Vietnam National University, Hanoi"; and to summarize the emulation movement in learning, working, scientific research, and moral training of students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and young staff, the University requests the Heads of units to consider and propose the awarding of the title "Outstanding Young Face at the grassroots level in 2014" according to the following specific contents:

1. TitlesystemMirrorat trecommemorative plaqueeucap base slive:Awarded to students and staff under 40 years of age currently working and studying at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, who possess good political and moral qualities, lead a healthy lifestyle, actively contribute to social work, class activities, Youth Union activities, and Student Association activities, have high prestige and influence within the collective, are respected by the collective, and meet one of the following requirements:

1.1. Young people who have achieved outstanding results in their studies, research, and work:

- Students must have achieved a GPA of 3.60 or higher in the 2013-2014 academic year, have no failing grades (F) in any subject, and have an excellent conduct rating.

- Students who are outstanding class/youth union/student association officers with a GPA of 3.20 or higher for the 2013-2014 academic year, no failing grades in any subject during the academic year, and excellent conduct grades.

- Students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate a strong will to overcome difficulties and achieve academic excellence must have a GPA of 3.20 or higher for the 2013-2014 academic year, no failing grades (F) in any subject, and an excellent conduct rating.

(The criteria for students from disadvantaged backgrounds are defined in Circular No. 54/1998/TT-LT dated August 31, 1998, of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Training, and Decision No. 09/2011/QD-TTg dated...)30/01/2011of the Prime Minister onthe issuance of poverty standards applicable to the period2011 - 2015).

- Graduate students must achieve a GPA of 3.60 or higher in their coursework and have at least one article published in a national or international scientific journal.

- Doctoral candidates must achieve a GPA of 3.70 or higher in their specialized subjects and have at least two articles published in national or international scientific journals.

- Young cadres must have achieved the title of Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level or higher.

1.2. The young face is a student who won an official individual award in regional and international Olympic competitions in 2014.

1.3. Young faces are officials or students who have won first or second prize at the national level or at the level of central ministries, departments, Hanoi National University, provinces, or centrally-administered cities in scientific research, culture and arts, or sports.

Note: 

- No awards will be given to:

+ Students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates who graduated in the 2013-2014 academic year.

+ Students of the Teacher Training majors, Class of QH-2011-S.

+ Students of the QH-2014-X cohort.

2. Deadline for submitting nominations:The units conduct the selection process and submit the list.DOWNLOAD the list template) regarding the Department of Politics and Student AffairsBefore November 24, 2014 (Monday).

The school will not consider applications from units that do not submit the list in the correct format. After the deadline mentioned above, any unit that has not submitted its application for selection to the school will automatically be considered as not participating.

After the results of the "Outstanding Young Person at the grassroots level in 2014" award are announced, the grassroots-level council will continue to select and recommend candidates for the "Outstanding Young Person at the Hanoi National University level" award and present them with a Certificate of Merit from the Director of Hanoi National University.
