ContentThe workshop focused on the following topics:

• Current situation and methods of organizing the teaching of Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies at universities.
• Programs, curricula, and teaching of Vietnamese as a foreign language.
• Methods of teaching Vietnamese and testing and evaluating learners' abilities.
• New research on Vietnamese linguistics
• Studying Vietnam from an interdisciplinary perspective encompassing history, economics, politics, culture, and society.
