With her bright face and expressive, large eyes, Kim Sáu looks much younger and more down-to-earth in real life than she does on stage. But those who have interacted with her all share the same opinion: her straightforward, articulate yet gentle and sweet way of speaking is a unique style of Nguyễn Thị Kim Sáu - the runner-up in the third Miss Elegant Student Contest of Hanoi National University.Born in 1988, Nguyen Thi Kim Sau is currently a K51 student in the Psychology Department at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Kim Sau was born and raised in the rural area of Tinh Nhue, Thanh Son, Phu Tho. As the sixth child in a large family of seven siblings, Kim Sau has always lived in the loving embrace of her parents and older siblings. Perhaps this early influence shaped her personality and thoughts, making her a friendly, sincere, and loving person towards everyone and towards life.

"If someone doesn't smile at you, give them your smile."
That's Kim Sau's favorite quote, and it's also a guiding principle for how she interacts with people. That quote also led Kim Sau to the Psychology major she's currently pursuing. Her high school principal was the one who recommended and advised her to apply to the Psychology department, because he once said: "It's a field of study that is..."
It suits my personality and who I am.Kim Sáu himself also had some very interesting thoughts about this field of study:
This is an excellent and essential field of study in modern society, where spiritual values are increasingly valued and form the foundation for the development and shaping of each individual's personality and abilities. It's also a profession that brings joy to people, based on scientific knowledge and a deep understanding of human nature, built upon sharing and empathy.Smiling brightly, Kim Six said:
Sharing and empathizing seem to be my "talent." Since starting school, even as class president, I've always been trusted by my classmates to talk and confide in.This little girl's future dream is to become a psychology lecturer.

Runner-up in the "Intelligence and Love of a Mother" contest.

Kim Sáu said she always seems to have a knack for winning the runner-up title, as she consistently came in second place in the selection rounds for elegant female students at the class, faculty, and university levels (including the Vietnam National University, Hanoi). She added that competitions like this give her opportunities to meet and share her thoughts with people.
When I first entered the competition, I was quite nervous because many of the contestants were very outstanding and professional. They had experience performing in many other competitions. The prize was a big surprise. After the competition, I felt more confident and my public speaking skills improved."During the Q&A segment, Kim Sáu received a question about Hanoi National University. Her concise, accurate, and comprehensive answer earned her the runner-up prize for intelligence in the Hanoi National University's Elegant Female Student Contest. Responding to comments that the question wasn't difficult and that Kim Sáu was "lucky" to receive it, Kim Sáu asserted:
In my opinion, there are no difficult or easy questions; what matters is how you present and express your thoughts to others. Based on my performance from the preliminary rounds to the final night, I think I've proven myself in everyone's eyes."

The competition was a treasure trove of emotions and new discoveries for second-year students about themselves and those around them, from the exhilarating feeling of visiting the ancient capital of Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh), the emotion of lighting incense for martyrs at Tu Liem Cemetery (Hanoi) and visiting a Vietnamese Heroic Mother, to the nervousness on stage, then the sudden joy and exhilaration when hearing their name called as the winner. But “
Above all, I want to talk about my mother."—Kim Sau confided. And the memories and emotions with her mother are also linked to her very impressive talent performance in the final night—one of the three talent performances judged to be the best in the competition. That was the dance."
Love songs of the Northwest.Kim Sáu's dance costumes were borrowed from her hometown by her mother because she was afraid that rented costumes wouldn't be pretty enough. Then, she spent the whole morning teaching her daughter how to wrap the skirt correctly and beautifully. On the day of the school-level final competition, her mother came to Hanoi and watched her daughter's performance until the end. At the Hanoi National University-level competition, unable to attend, she called and checked on Kim Sáu until the competition ended well past midnight. Needless to say, she was incredibly proud and happy about her daughter's success and growth. As for Kim Sáu herself, she says that her mother has always been her best friend and the person closest to her:
Everything I have achieved today is thanks to my mother's love and encouragement."

"Proud to be a student of Vietnam National University, Hanoi"
That's the message Nguyen Thi Kim Sau wants to send to everyone if she were to represent female students from Hanoi National University in higher-level competitions. She believes that today's youth have many opportunities to study and access knowledge, as well as to cooperate and exchange ideas with friends around the world. Families, schools, and society have created many conditions for young people to strive and demonstrate their abilities. Therefore, young people have a responsibility to study and train themselves so that they can contribute to the development of the country in the future.
Be a good student, first and foremost by studying well and living a useful life.Kim Six added - "
"I am honored to be a student of Hanoi National University, a large and prestigious institution with a rich tradition, boasting many generations of outstanding teachers and students who have made significant contributions to the country and society. I will strive even harder to live up to this honor."
