The opening ceremony of the evaluation program was attended by Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Principal of the School); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Principal of the School), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Thach (Head of the Faculty of Literature) and representatives of leaders of relevant functional units, and all lecturers of the Faculty of Literature.
Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Principal of the School) delivered the opening speech and emphasized: "The goal of evaluating the quality of the training program is to identify strengths and weaknesses, to find suitable solutions for the development process of each unit in particular and the whole School in general."

Dr. Tran Thi Hoai - Head of the Expert Delegation highly appreciated the attention and direction of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' leaders in ensuring the quality of training in general; the work of quality assessment and peer quality assessment in particular of the University. The Faculty of Literature has two training majors: Literature and Han Nom. Regarding Literature, the University has conducted the assessment.AUN – QAand the Han Nom program is currently undergoing peer review.Dr. Tran Thi Hoai said that the role and responsibility of the Expert Group is to accompany the Faculty of Literature in identifying issues according to quality assessment standards. The parties work in a spirit of frankness, openness and high responsibility.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Thach - Head of the Faculty of Literature emphasized the two key tasks of quality assurance that the Faculty has set out: in 2017, the Faculty's Literature major was implemented for quality assessment according to the AUN-QA standards and this year, the Faculty's Han Nom major is being implemented for peer quality assessment. These are two training majors belonging to the group of basic science majors of the Faculty in particular and of the University in general. Training quality assessment and evaluation is recognized by all staff and lecturers in the Faculty as an extremely necessary and effective task. Through the assessment and evaluation rounds, the Faculty can review all aspects related to training activities and thereby better meet the requirements of society for the Faculty's training majors.
Dr. Dinh Thanh Hieu - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature presented a Summary Report on the Bachelor's Training Program in Han Nom, clearly stating the strengths and limitations identified by the Faculty. Dr. Hieu emphasized that after nearly a year since the Self-Assessment Council of Han Nom was established in March 2019, with the efforts of the Faculty, the steps of the peer quality assessment process of Han Nom have been completed. Dr. Hieu affirmed that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi is one of the two largest Han Nom training and research institutions in Vietnam and the School is also the only institution that trains in Han Nom at all three levels: bachelor's, master's and doctoral.

Next, the expert team conducted the following activities: Researching supporting documents; interviewing key members of the Faculty including the Faculty Board, Department Heads and other relevant parties; inspecting training facilities such as the Faculty Office, classrooms, resource rooms, practice rooms, etc.
