The opening ceremony of the evaluation program was attended by Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Principal), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Principal), Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Duc Thuan (Head of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management) and representatives of relevant functional units, staff and lecturers of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management.
Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Principal) delivered the opening speech and emphasized: “The goal of evaluating the quality of the training program is to identify strengths and weaknesses, to find appropriate solutions for the development process of each unit in particular and the whole school in general”. The Principal commented that this is a very necessary activity and must be organized regularly to detect existing problems and improve the “output standards” of each major.

Dr. Truong Chi Hien - Head of the expert delegation highly appreciated the attention and direction of the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in ensuring the quality of training in general and the quality assessment of training programs in particular. The external expert evaluation delegation will operate in accordance with the regulations and instructions in Circular No. 04/2016/TT/BGDDT and other documents. The evaluation delegation wishes to share knowledge and comments on the quality of the training program of the Archival Science major so that the Faculty and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU can correctly identify the strengths and weaknesses and thereby build the right plans to improve the quality and enhance the training quality of the Archival Science major in the coming time.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Duc Thuan introduced the Faculty and the standard university-level training program in Archival Studies. He emphasized that the Archival Studies Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the long-standing and up-to-date training departments, and the Faculty is also the leading training unit in the country in Archival Studies today. Currently, the Faculty is training at 3 levels: Bachelor, Master and Doctor in Archival Studies.

Next, the expert team conducted the following activities: Interviewing the group writing the Self-Assessment Report, Interviewing the leaders of the Faculty, Department, Faculty Council, Interviewing lecturers, Surveying facilities, etc.
