Reporting on the financial situation in 2023, Ms. Kim Thi Diep Ha - Head of Financial Planning Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, said that in 2023, the school balanced revenue and expenditure, and financial activities were basically stable. The school has implemented a policy of increasing income for staff and lecturers, making key and in-depth investments for teachers and learners in teaching and scientific research activities, purchasing equipment and renovating facilities, supporting staff to study, fostering capacity, developing international publications, etc.
Regarding the 2024 financial plan, the school aims to protect revenue and expenditure sources from the state budget; collect tuition fees correctly, fully, and promptly, avoid arrears; effectively use the career development fund, increase study and training costs for staff and lecturers; and invest deeply in learners and teachers.

At the Conference, Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - Deputy Head of the Department of Personnel Organization, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, said that based on the opinions of all staff and lecturers on the Internal Expenditure Regulations, the school has made adjustments in the Draft Regulations to suit the actual situation. In particular, the school has received 57 opinions, contributing solutions to perfect the regulations and has made additional and revised contents. The highlight of 2023 is that the income of staff and lecturers has increased, demonstrating the determination and efforts of the leadership as well as the consensus of the school community.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Secretary, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, emphasized that financial activities need to be more professional and modern. Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Secretary, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, said that in the past year, the general financial situation of educational institutions faced many difficulties, and VNU-USSH was no exception. In the context of decreasing state budget revenue and stable tuition fees over the past 3 years, the school has actively increased revenue from scientific research and policy consulting activities, transferring research results... Basically, the enrollment activities, development of training services, scientific research... of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have had many positive changes, not only attracting domestic students and partners but also receiving attention from international students and partners. Units throughout the school have joined hands to increase the school's revenue, thereby increasing the income of staff and lecturers and bringing good values to learners, continuing to build the image of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a traditional but equally dynamic and modern university.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized that over the past year, the school has focused on investing in developing high-quality human resources, investing in scientific research activities; strongly and resolutely innovating activities, including financial activities. Higher education is undergoing strong changes, requiring the school to change its perspective on caring for learners. Each staff and lecturer needs to "cherish" learners, bring the best values to learners, which is also to enhance the reputation of the school, develop revenue sources, and improve the lives of staff and lecturers. Regarding financial management, the school is committed to transparency, compliance with regulations, wisdom and humanity. The principal shared that all staff, lecturers and employees need to have deep faith in the further development of the school, think openly, look far ahead, and join hands to contribute to the common development.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan also said that financial activities in 2024 need to be more professional, more modern, and keep up with the current digital transformation trend.
