University of Social Sciences and Humanities received and worked with the Delegation of the Deputy Minister of Europe

On the afternoon of January 15, 2024, representatives of the Board of Directors and leaders of functional departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) had a meeting with the Working Group of the Deputy Minister of Europe, introducing the potential and strengths of Hungary and the need for cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the fields of training and scientific research.
 
At the reception, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomed the Delegation to visit the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. As a core unit of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and a pioneering training and research institution in the fields of social sciences and humanities, the university always focuses on expanding relations with universities and research institutes around the world.
 
Currently, Hungarian visiting professor, Ms. Heltai Gyöngy, is teaching at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and has received attention and positive feedback from students. In the future, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes to welcome more visiting professors to work and build a network of cooperative relationships with universities in Hungary.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities established the “Hungarian Corner” at the end of 2022, becoming a meeting and exchange place to introduce Hungarian educational and cultural activities for Vietnamese students and lecturers.
Accordingly, the two sides also have cooperation exchanges in projects on startups and innovation; as well as other emerging fields in society.

Mr. Zsigmond Barna Pal - Member of the National Assembly, Deputy Minister of Europe shared his joy when visiting and working with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and affirmed: The relationship in educational cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and partners in Hungary contributes to strengthening the friendship between the two countries. Every year, the Hungarian Government provides 200 Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships to train Vietnamese students for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees through English or Hungarian. In the near future, he hopes to bring many guest lecturers to teach and study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, bringing Hungarian knowledge and culture closer to Vietnam.

The visit is part of a series of activities towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Hungary diplomatic relations (February 3, 1950 - February 3, 2025).
