At the meeting, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, welcomed the delegation to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. As a core unit of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and a pioneering training and research institution in the fields of social sciences and humanities, the university always prioritizes expanding its relationships with universities and research institutes worldwide.
Currently, Hungarian visiting professor Heltai Gyöngy is teaching at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and has received positive feedback and interest from the university's students. In the future, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes to welcome more visiting professors to work with the university, building a network of cooperative relationships with universities in Hungary.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities established the "Hungarian Corner" at the end of 2022, becoming a meeting place for exchange and introduction of Hungarian educational and cultural activities for Vietnamese students and lecturers.
Accordingly, the two sides also exchanged cooperation in projects related to entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as other emerging areas in society.
Mr. Zsigmond Barna Pal, Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of European Affairs, shared his pleasure at visiting and working with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH). He affirmed that the educational cooperation between USSH and its partners in Hungary contributes to strengthening the friendship between the two countries. Every year, the Hungarian government provides 200 Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships for Vietnamese students to pursue bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, studying in English or Hungarian. In the future, he hopes to bring more visiting lecturers to teach and study at USSH, bringing Hungarian knowledge and culture closer to Vietnam.
The visit is part of a series of activities leading up to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Hungary (February 3, 1950 - February 3, 2025).
